Insurance Coverage and Payment Options

Understanding insurance coverage is crucial before beginning any neuropsychological services. Coverage depends on your specific plan and may require referrals or prior authorizations. We work closely with families to clarify what is covered and what costs may apply.

What does insurance cover?

Insurance plans vary, but many cover some or all neuropsychological and psychological evaluations. Co-payments and deductibles often apply. Prior authorization or referrals may be necessary. We assist families in verifying coverage before testing starts to avoid surprises.

What doesn’t insurance cover?

Educational testing, including academic assessments, is generally not covered by insurance. Additionally, services such as school meetings, classroom observations, hearings, and mediations require separate fees and are not reimbursed by insurance.

Which insurance plans does CCNS accept?

We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and HMO plans. For families without coverage, self-pay options are available. Some insurance companies may reimburse a portion of out-of-pocket expenses after services are rendered.

How can I prepare for insurance verification?

Before scheduling, gather your insurance details and contact your provider to confirm coverage for neuropsychological services. We recommend discussing referrals and authorization requirements with your insurer to ensure a smooth process.
