John McKenna, Ph.D.

John McKenna, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist. Dr. McKenna completed his pre-doctoral internship at Harvard Medical School/ Cambridge Health Alliance. He went on to complete a psychology postdoctoral fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital where he worked with LGBTQ+ adolescents and young adults. He then completed a 2-year fellowship in neuropsychological assessment at Concord Comprehensive Neuropsychological Services (CCNS). Dr. McKenna has trained at a variety of other institutions, including the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD) at Boston University, the New England Center for OCD and Anxiety, and the Newton Public School system. Before returning to CCNS, Dr. McKenna served as an attending clinical psychologist at Boston Children’s Hospital and as an Instructor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. McKenna provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations to adolescents and young adults, including college students with social-emotional, learning, developmental, and executive functioning challenges. Specific areas of interest include: ADHD, Autism, Learning Disorders, Anxiety and Mood-Based Disorders, and Trauma. Dr. McKenna also has extensive experience providing affirming and comprehensive services to transgender and gender diverse communities.
