Postdoctoral Fellow

Melissa Jacobson, Psy.D. is a postdoctoral fellow at CCNS. Dr. Jacobson earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in neuropsychology from William James College. She completed her APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Tewksbury Hospital, where she worked with individuals with serious mental illness and complex medical and neurological conditions across the Departments of Mental Health and Public Health. Dr. Jacobson previously trained at CCNS as an advanced practicum student and has additional training experience at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Across these settings, she gained experience in the neuropsychological assessment of children and adults with a broad range of neurodevelopmental, psychiatric, neurological, and medical presentations.

Dr. Jacobson provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for school-aged children, adolescents, and young adults with a range of learning, attentional, developmental, executive functioning, and social-emotional concerns. Her clinical interests include ADHD, anxiety and related disorders, and understanding the relationship between cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. She is particularly interested in using neuropsychological evaluations to clarify complex clinical presentations and develop individualized recommendations that support children and families.
