Yvonne Asher, Ph.D.

Licensed Psychologist/Pediatric Neuropsychologist

Dr. Yvonne Asher is a pediatric neuropsychologist and licensed psychologist in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Suffolk University, and trained at Judge Baker Children’s Center, the Newton Public Schools, Bradley and Butler Hospitals, and Metrowest Neuropsychology. Dr. Asher completed pre-doctoral internship training at the Multidisciplinary Center at Florida State University, and post-doctoral training at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Lurie Center for Autism. She also completed fellowship training in pediatric neuropsychology at NESCA.

Dr. Asher works with children from toddlerhood through adolescence, specializing in neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Intellectual Disability, learning disabilities, and developmental delays. She often sees younger children, and has extensive experience with early childhood development, including working as a preschool teacher. Her approach to working with families is warm and supportive, and she particularly enjoys helping families to navigate their “first touch” with developmental evaluations and the special education system. Dr. Asher frequently sees complex children who may have medical or genetic challenges complicating their development. Dr. Asher holds a master’s degree in education, and values collaboration with teachers, outpatient providers, physicians, and other community agencies in order to holistically support children.
